Highlights from this episode:

On how consistency in marketing is like dieting:

“I talk about consistency in marketing like dieting. It's like eating healthy. Yeah, if there was a way that you could tell me that I could exercise one time a year and be done and be thin for like the whole year, I would totally do it. But it's about consistency and you have to keep up with it.

You have to go every week at three times a week, five times a week, whatever. Otherwise you're going to see the effects of that not happening….And the same thing is happening with our marketing.

On what happens when you lose consistency:

“I actually went off of social media for almost nine months. I had a mental effect that was amazing. I was so calm and it was detoxifying, but then I could see the issues with my business suffering. Not like I was, didn't have any business, but I could see the dip.

I could see the downturn and it wasn't enough for me to go, “Oh my gosh, I have to fix this right away.” It was just enough for me to go, “I see what's happening. I'm going to watch this experiment.”

On her training “Absolute Marketing: How to Create 1 Year of Marketing Content in 5 Days”

“I'm going to ask questions as we go through the training and get you to look at your marketing and your social media a little differently. If you can answer those questions and plug in your information directly into my formula, then you pretty much have got it made.

It's just about spending the time to actually do it and get it done. That's why I do it in a day. Like give me an eight hour day, block it off on my calendar. It's like, you took a personal day, right? Now that you’ve done it, you can focus on your clients for the other 364 days.”
