We all want to serve more and earn more, but there are only so many hours in a day. I know that many of you have gotten to a point in your business where you are booked out, but not reaching your income goals, and you don’t have time to take on any more clients. What can you do about this? It’s time to scale.

I’m Sharon Nissen, a virtual assistant mentor and the creator The Support Squad. My mission is to help women build happy online businesses and find more ease, joy, & profit. Today I’m going to share 5 simple ways you can start to earn more without doing more by scaling your virtual assistant business.

Raise your rates

You need to raise your rates, okay? I know that a lot of you, most of you I'm willing to bet, are already charging rates that are too low.

If you continue to work for a low hourly rate for clients, you're never gonna be able to scale your business because you're gonna be spending all of your time trading your time for money and working for clients that don't value you.

Create a low-investment digital product

If you wanna start getting a little more cash flow into your business, think about the things that your clients ask for again and again and again.

Do they need training on how to set up their Tailwind account?

Do they need templates to help them create email marketing sequences?

Are these things that you can create and then sell?

That way, for clients that aren't ready to hire a virtual assistant, you have this lower priced offering that they can then buy from you.

Think about it, if you had a video training that will help your clients, you sell it for $50. If you sell 10 of those a month, that's an extra $500 a month that you had to do nothing for!

These are the kinds of things I want you to start think about as you consider: How do I earn more while not doing more?

Outsource one small task

I'm not gonna tell you right now today to go out and hire a team. That might not even make great business sense for you!

What might be a better idea is to think of the one task, the one thing you do every month, that you dread. It takes up time and mental energy and it just adds stress to your life. Outsource that task.

It will cost money, which might be hard at first when you know that this is something you could do yourself. Remember: by outsourcing, you're going to open up space that will allow you to serve more clients, create more offerings, and earn more money.

Offer consulting services

Most of us are done-for-you service providers which means we take care of every step of the process. As you know, that is super time consuming! What I have found is that a lot of clients are willing and able to do this work themselves, but they don't know how to get started or they don't know the strategies or the systems involved.

Imagine if you could spend an hour with a potential client and charge them $250 to give them a breakdown of what you would do for them so that they can understand and then send them on their way. Instead of taking on a full-time client, you're just spending an hour consulting with someone and that's another great way to scale your business if you don't have time to take on a new full-time client!
