For folks who love to be front and center with their audience and constantly connected, social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook are a dream come true.

But what about those of us who prefer a more laid-back, set-it-and-forget-it kind of strategy? Is there a place for us in the online marketing space?

Pinterest Strategist Meagan Williamson believes that Pinterest is the perfect platform for introverted service providers who want to have more flexibility with their work, instead of the constant accessibility that is required with IG and FB.

With Pinterest marketing on the rise, offering it as a service could be your ticket to higher quality clients and a less intense way of working.

In this episode, Meagan is sharing how virtual assistants can add Pinterest services to their business so that they can earn more and stress less.

Tune in if you want to hear how to get started, how much to charge, and the many types of offers you can create as a Pinterest pro!

Who is Pinterest management a good fit for?

It really is the perfect thing for a busy person or someone who has small children. I knew I could work at nine o'clock at night or nine in the morning, and I didn't have to show up to meetings. So for me as a young mom, it was really great because it was super flexible.

I find that it is such a good fit too for people who are more introverted. Pinterest is just so wonderful because there is an element of set it and forget it, where you can help clients grow their marketing efforts, grow their audience, and really get more strategic.

And it's awesome for people who really want to learn more about overall business operations. I now have expertise in content marketing, advertising, sales funnels, and graphic design. I wouldn't say I'm an expert in those things, but I now know a lot about them because of Pinterest.

How much to charge?

I always recommend to people that they charge no less than $400 to start for basic management. And if you're creating idea pins for a client or helping them edit videos to create video pins, you need to set those rates depending on your ease. If you aren't comfortable with design, outsource it or have somebody create those assets for you.

Typically how long does it take to manage an account in a month?

On average setting up an account, depending on your speed and your ease with the platform, can take 10 to 20 hours.

But for regular Pinterest management month to month, if you are very comfortable with doing keyword optimization, creating graphics, scheduling out their content and optimizing it, it should take between, I used to say 10 hours, but now there's a new feature on Pinterest called idea pins and they can be a little bit more intensive. So I would say 10 to 12 hours a month.

Now, it might in the beginning take more like 15 hours if you're double checking all your work, but that's what's realistic.

How can you diversify your income as a Pinterest manager and/or strategist?

There’s always a la carte offers like digital products, templates, a course or a workshop. If people want to work with you one-on-one, but they can't afford to, offer things where it's a one-time effort, like a strategy session, a VIP session, account set up or keyword research. Anything that's going to save a client time.

You could be a guest expert. I hired guest experts for my membership to come in and teach about video marketing, SEO, email marketing, so if you want to do paid guest speaking, you could do that.

There's lots of opportunities to make money that don't involve the actual heavy lifting of Pinterest management.
