Social proof is one of the most powerful marketing tools for virtual assistants! (By the way, "social proof" is really just a fancy word for testimonials.)

In this episode of The Support Squad, I'm talking about all things testimonials and how you can use them to attract your dream clients, even in the beginning of your business.

Tune in to hear:

πŸ“ When to ask a client for a testimonial

πŸ“ The answer to the age-old question: "How do I get testimonials if I've never had a client?"

πŸ“ How to make it easy for your clients to give you a testimonial

πŸ“ The best ways to leverage testimonials in your marketing

Why do you need testimonials?

As a business owner, you are responsible for building trust with potential clients. Unlike in the employer-employee relationship, your potential clients aren't going to see your job history or run a background check. Real testimonials from past clients will help ease their minds and show that you can do what you say you can do!

When should you ask for a testimonial?

For project-based VAs - it is always appropriate to ask for a testimonial after a project is completed.

For retainer-based VAs - approach your clients after an exciting month i.e. a launch.

How can you make it easy for your clients to write you a testimonial?

Having a form in your client management software or a Google form is a great way to prompt clients to write a testimonial. You can even craft questions that will help create the sound bites you really need to promote your services.
