If you’ve recently niched your business, started growing your email list, or dipped your toe into creating digital products….

...but you’re still relying purely on social media for your marketing, you are leaving money on the table.

Social media is a great way to market your business for free as you’re getting started as a virtual assistant, but as you’re starting to scale, Pinterest will help you supercharge your content and get in front of new audiences

Pinterest Marketing Expert Presh Rodgers fell in love with Pinterest when she realized its power as a long-term marketing strategy  - (think minimum input and maximum output.)

In today’s podcast episode, Presh is sharing how virtual assistants and service providers can use Pinterest to attract soulmate clients and get more eyes on their content.

Listen in to learn whether Pinterest is right for your business and how it offers results that you just won’t see with social media alone.

Let me tell you a little bit about Presh:

Presh Rodgers is a Pinterest Marketing Expert & Ads Specialist (or Pinterest Badass for short) and she helps online coaches, service providers, & content creators pimp Pinterest to get more eyes on their content, grow their email list with action takers and overall skyrocket their visibility with and without ads. When she's not giving out high energy, good laughs or sunshine vibes, you can find her sipping her favorite drink of the day, dancing around for fun or watching her latest Netflix binge.

How did you get started in the online space and end up the Pinterest badass that you are now?

I started as a general VA in May of 2019. I took a VA course and within that course, there was a module about being a Pinterest manager. The person who did the module within the course had her own actual Pinterest course that I took just to get a little bit more background on it.

Then luckily for me, my first client was an influencer and a blogger and Pinterest was her number two traffic source. She saw that Pinterest was bringing in a lot of her traffic, but she wasn't using it as a business.

She was like, “I want to leverage this. Can you help me?” I had to figure it out and I did and I enjoyed it. From there I did Pinterest and Instagram mostly and now I'm completely Pinterest.

I just love Pinterest so much. It's the underdog. I think it's so powerful and I love the long term impact from it.

How can service providers start to utilize Pinterest to attract clients?

When you start to get your specialty down, that's when I think Pinterest is a really good thing for you, because then you know who your clients are. You can pinpoint their pain points. You can start researching to see if they're looking for those things within Pinterest. And you can start creating free offers, creating webinars, creating content that's more niche specific that people actually learn from.

Why would we want to add Pinterest to our marketing strategy instead of just using Instagram or Facebook?

Pinterest is a top of funnel strategy. That means that this is the greatest place for new people to find your content. People on Pinterest are going there to discover something, to get inspiration for something, to find solutions to their problems, because it is a search engine with social aspects to it.

Now with Instagram, people are not there to find your content. You are showing your content to them and then they see it and then they might take action. But they're not going to Instagram thinking, “Oh, let me go see what free offer Sharon has today.” They're going there to maybe see what you're doing, see if you're giving some valuable tips for today, or just browsing social media, but they're not searching for something at that moment.

Whereas on Pinterest, if they go and search for something they just have to click and go straight to it instead of you having to even tell them to do it. On Instagram you're telling people what to do and you have to keep telling them over and over again, because your content on Instagram only has a lifespan of barely 24 hours Whereas with Pinterest, once you put content on the platform its lifespan is basically forever.
